350Z TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The long awaited replacement for the 300ZX was shown in concept form several years before it's introduction. The Concept Z changed very little to become the 350Z as we know it today. The 350Z marks the introduction of the third engine family to the Z series; the VQ35DE fuel injected 3.5l V6. The 350Z picks up retro styling cues harking back to the original Zs, while employing the latest in high technology. Like later Zs, it is luxurious inside, but also features greater performance and derivability like the earlier Zs. While it features leather interior, power seats, mirrors, sun roof and other luxury features, the 350 also features high performance equipment such as a carbon fibre drive-shaft, 6-spd close ratio gears, fully independent suspension all round (using Nissan's Multilink system) and massive wheels. For the first time, a factory convertible version, the Z Roadster is offered, but there is no Targa top in the line up.
